Your challenge was brilliant; the energy was so encompassing and enveloping.
We are so blessed to have had the chance to share such a beautiful experience together and continue increasing the feeling of the flow in our bodies not just to help activate our intentions but also to help heal all that ails us.
I massage my body , mind and spirit internally with that beautiful healing energy. I just visualize the areas in my body and mind , without attaching to the pain, and direct the healing energy, created through Your Dance routine, into those areas.
You said it best Kay- Ann : " Stay in the pocket and ...marinate in that energy flow"
I was missing the sound of your voice and the sight of your smile and the 6th sense of your energy, so I'm continuing to challenge myself everyday for another 14 consecutive days to make it a 21 day challenge except today I did it at 2 pm (I felt it was physically much harder to do it at this time so I'm going back to doing it the first thing in the morning...think 7.30 am would feel better.)
I will keep you informed about my progress.
Take care Kay-Ann and thank you for your generosity of spirit...it will take you so very far in life.
I just wanted to show you my gratitude for showing me what is so important to me in my life.... DANCE.....and to honour the dancer in me.
I will forever be grateful to you for what was missing in my life in 2020.
You helped me salvage 1 month of it at least...in terms of dance.
Have a fantastic start to the New Year and great success to you with Unruly Gyal.
Thank you so much.
I really wanted to reach out to you and let you know how much I loved dancing with you (and that community of women) every morning last week! I miss it! I managed to dance for six days! It was so good for me. I felt like a better Mom and a better teacher through setting an intention every day as well as starting my day with movement. I missed our final day because we went up north to a family cottage where the wi-fi was non-existent, but I made sure to put on some music and dance anyways!
Thank you! I loved the classes! It honestly felt so good to get up early and connect to myself in this way. I think your class is the only virtual class I can commit to and actually find energizing because your authenticity, intention and energy is so palpable. So thank you for that. I hope you do early classes like that again.I’ve learned the importance of connecting to my body and listening to its messages, and I found that the movement & intention classes helped me do just that by anchoring me in my body. Keep doing what you’re doing and shining your light because the world needs it.️
LOVED today. I enjoyed the low flow, the music, the meditation. Thank you, Kay Ann! it's been wonderful starting my day off with you! Just love your energy!!!
I'm proud of myself for doing all 7 days. I'm proud of myself for showing up at least one day live.
I've been feeling good and energized after each workout. I've had some great moments of reflection.
P.S. today during the meditation we came up for me on repeat was "I give myself permission."
Think I'll journal on that today. Thanks again
First of all I love the playlist! That was definitely fun and joyful!
Today my intention was be happy, be thankful.
I noticed that I feel Joy in my belly area. Above my belly button.
Around August I became very focused on bringing more things into my life that brought me joy. That included exploring new activities, games, reading, connecting with others, painting/coloring, etc. And one of the things I realized I loved so much but wasn't doing, was dance. I love music and dance, but was not enjoying it as often as I could. so I started looking into ways that I could dance at home. Due the pandemic I wasn't ready to go back to the pole studio. That's roughly around the time you came across my feed on Instagram.
So thank you for being part of my joy list️
Thank you so much again for facilitating a wonderful experience with both the 7-day challenge and UnRuly Gyal program. The The Unruly Gyal sessions are not just a dance class or a workout session. Though they're just as fun as both of those, they are truly a body empowerment experience. Kay-Ann’s classes have enabled me to reconnect with my body on a very deep level and I’m now able to move in ways I didn’t even think possible. Thank you, Kay-Ann, for helping me regain my confidence and power!
Just wanted to share that I’m really enjoying this week’s challenge. It’s giving me something to look forward to when I wake up, and I’m finding it easier and easier to wake up each day! In fact, this morning I woke up really early ~5:40 (slept quite early too), so I went back to sleep and forgot to reset my alarm, but woke up again naturally at 6:20, just in time to get ready and join. My body won’t let me miss it! :) )
Today’s session was a blast! I had so much fun jamming to songs I could also sing along too.. almost felt like I was back in a club with no cares at all.. just moving my body! haha
My intention for today: To be present throughout my day, in my body and in my actions. To carry the feelings of joy and peace, cultivated this morning, with me throughout my day.
"Here are the things I noticed since doing the Unruly Gyal challenge for a week, and waking up to move with you and the amazing crew at 6:30 in the morning:
One of my intentions was to stay true to my commitment, and to show up. I really didn’t think I would end up attending all of the live classes, but my intention setting paid off: on all of the 7 mornings, I woke up naturally before the alarm and sprang out of bed to get dressed. It’s like my body knew it didn’t want to miss out on the fun.On each of the days, I felt more energy throughout the day and more life in my body.
I noticed I was more productive and motivated in my work, and things I usually find boring (mundane tasks around the house). I slept better, and felt way more rested in the . went to bed really looking forward to the morning, and also made sure I got to bed earlier. (A week later, and I'm still keeping the same rhythm, even without the morning classes, which feels good)
- My hips felt more open (all that wining :) and the usual pain in my lower back was gone
- It felt so good to start off the day ‘with’ other humans, to feel & share joy, sexiness, playfulness, silliness from the comforts of our homes with one another one screen.
- the music was non. Stop. goodness.
- this may be TMI, but I definitely had some more satisfying self-love sessions since doing the challenge
— all that connected movement helped me feel more grounded, awakened, and embodied, which made me more in touch and in tune with myself
- A big shift for me was practicing letting go of my self-critic and perfectionism: gradually throughout the 7 days, I started having less and less moments caring what I looked like, or if I was ‘doing it right’, and even enjoyed laughing at myself (lovingly :) when I saw myself in the mirror (pretty sure one of those moments was during the back that *ss up ;),
- All of your messages, prompts, opening and closing words, daily themes - it really resonated with me, and felt like it was exactly what I needed to hear.
Kay-Ann, you truly have a gift in guiding people, through movement (and words, and music :) towards tapping into their inner power, aka their “Unruly Gyal”.
